2010 Fantasy Baseball Big Game Extreme Championship

16 contenders - 5 Contests - 1 Champion

1st Place - $2,500

2nd Place - $750

Do you think you have what it takes to beat out the competition is all facets of fantasy baseball?  Are you the best there is?  Now is your chance to prove it!  For one entry free ($250), 16 Contenders will compete in 5 separate contests to determine who is truly the best!  In each contest you finish in 1st through 16th place.  You finishing place for all 5 contest will be added together and the team with the lowest overall finishing score will be the champion!  For example, if one owner finishes in 1st, 3rd, 1st, 2nd, and 8th place, his/her total finishing score will be 15 points.  If another owner finished 4th, 6th, 8th, 1st, 9th, his/her finishing score will be 28 points.  The owner with 15 points will have beaten the owner with 28 points.  Like golf, you'll want to score as low as possible!

Let's take a look at the 5 different contests.

AL Only Auction - All sixteen teams will compete in an auction, bidding on players to fill out their roster, using their budget of $260.  This will be used for both starters and reserves.  You're line up will consist of the following (1C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 1 MI, 1 CI, 3 OF, 1 UTIL, 9 P, 4 RES).  Teams will compete in a season long roto battle, competing in  standard 5 x 5 roto category scoring.  You'll also have a free agent budget of $1,000 that you will use throughout the season to bid on free agents.

NL Only Draft - All sixteen teams will compete in a serpentine draft to compile their teams.  You're line up will consist of the following (1C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 1 MI, 1 CI, 3 OF, 1 UTIL, 9 P, 4 RES).  Teams will compete in a season long roto battle, competing in  standard 5 x 5 roto category scoring.  You'll also have a free agent budget of $1,000 that you will use throughout the season to bid on free agents.

Mixed NL/AL H2H Draft - All sixteen teams will compete in a serpentine draft to compile their teams.  You're line up will consist of the following (2C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 SS, 1 MI, 1 CI, 5 OF, 1 UTIL, 9 P, 4 RES).  Teams will compete in weekly H2H battles against other teams for the first 20 weeks of the season. After the first 20 weeks of the season are over, the 8 teams with the best record will enter the playoffs.   

In week 21,
#1 seed will face #8 seed
#2 seed will face #7 seed
#3 seed will face #6 seed
#4 seed will face #5 seed

The four teams that lose will finish in 5th - 8th place overall, with the highest point total for the week finishing 5th overall for the season and so on, with the lowest weekly score finishing 8th overall.

In week 22,
The four winners will advance with the lowest seed playing highest seed and the two middle seeds facing each other

In week 23, 24 and 25 (if needed)
The winners from week 22 will face off in a best of 3 series - whoever wins two weeks is the champion, the loser is second.

The losers from week 22 will face off in a best of 3 for the consolation series, with the winner being the 3rd place team and the loser being awarded 4th place overall for the season..

You'll also have a free agent budget of $1,000 that you will use throughout the season to bid on free agents.

AL Only Auction - Saturday, March 13th 11am ET
Mixed NL/AL Draft - Saturday, March 13th 5pm ET
Mixed AL/NL H2H Draft - Sunday, March 14th 2pm ET
NL Only Draft - Thursday, March 18th 8pm ET
Mixed AL/NL Auction - Tuesday March 23rd 8pm ET
