In 2008, www.fantasybaseballbiggame.com will expand, offering its first football contest, the Fantasy Football Big Game.  The Fantasy Football Big Game is a nationwide contest, which offers league cash prizes, as well as a guaranteed overall cash prize of $5,000 for the contest champion.  Leagues will consist of 12 teams, who will face off against each other weekly in a head to head match up.  The team with the best record after the first 11 weeks of the season will be crowned the league champion.  In addition to the league champion, the team with the highest point total after the first 11 weeks will be crowned the points champion.  As well as winning league cash prizes, both the league champion and the points champion will also qualify for the playoff contest.  Week 12 will be our Wild Card Week.  The team with the highest single week point total will also qualify for the playoff contest.  If the league champion and league points champion are the same team, than that team will win both cash prizes.  The league champion and/or league points champion can also win the wild card week, meaning each league will send between one and three teams into the playoff contest.

The playoffs will begin Week 13 and will continue through Week 16.  Playoffs teams will enter the playoffs with their average weekly point total for weeks 1 through 12.  Weekly point totals for each of the playoff weeks will be added to the week 1 through 12 weekly average and the team with the highest point total will win the overall contest, being named the overall champion and winning the $5,000 overall cash prize!  For a $100 entry fee, owners will have a chance to win $5,600!

With 12 teams in each league, strong owners will quickly separate themselves from the pack, as injuries, suspensions, lost jobs and bye weeks will wreak havoc on your ability to a strong line up, as you compete in one of the deepest drafts available.  Every week, your knowledge and skill will be tested as you scramble to outscore your opponent while starting 14 players in the following positions; 2 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB, WR or TE), 2 K and 2 DEF/SP Teams.  Teams will also have 6 players on their bench.
