Fantasy Baseball Roto Head to Head Challenge Rules
The Fantasy Baseball Roto Head to Head Challenge allows anyone to challenge the Big Game staff to a one on one match up. You'll get to go head to head all season long in weekly match ups which compare the results of each team's totals in the standard 5 x 5 roto categories. At the end of the week, whoever has done better in the categories (Avg, R, HR, RBI, SB, W, SV, ERA, Whip and K's) will get 1 point for each of the categories. The team with the most points will be declared the winner for that week.
Position Qualification – To qualify for a position, a player must have appeared at that position 10 times last year. Players will qualify for a new position during a season once they appear at the new position 5 times. Once this happens, a player’s eligibility is updated for the upcoming week. Players coming up from the minor leagues to make their first major league appearance will only qualify as DH's until they have appeared at a position a minimum of 5 times. Once they have appeared 5 times, they will be eligible to be placed at that position starting the next week.
Rosters - Player Selection – The challenger will pick their complete starting line up. Once they have completed their starting line up, they will submit their starting line up to Big Game, allowing Big Game to select their starting line up. Once both starting line ups have been selected, the challenger will then be able to select all of their reserves. After the challenger has selected their reserves, then Big Game will select their reserves. Once both rosters have been completed, their will be no changes allowed. Neither team will have the ability to select any free agents or replacements of any kind. Keep this in mind when selecting your roster - you may want to avoid injury plagued players or reserve some players at different positions!
Rosters will have the following requirements.
C - 1
1B - 1
2B - 1
3B - 1
SS - 1
MI - 1
CI - 1
OF - 4
DH - 1
P - 9
RES- 7
The reserves can be any position, hitters and/or pitchers.
Scoring – All teams will be scored in 10 categories (5 hitting and 5 pitching.)
The hitting categories are:
Batting Average
Runs Scored
Home Runs
Runs Batted In
Stolen Bases
The pitching categories* are:
Wins
Saves
Earned Run Average
Strikeouts
Whip (Walk+Hits/Innings Pitched)
*Each team’s pitching staff must complete a minimum of 15 innings
pitched each week. If a team does not reach the minimum requirement of 15 IP, that
team will lose the ERA and Whip categories for that week.
Standard rotisserie scoring will be
used. Teams will be ranked from best to worst in each category. The winner of the category will "win" that category for the week. The team with more category wins will be the weekly winner.
Pitcher's hitting statistics will not be used in owners hitting totals. Hitters pitching statistics will not be used in pitching totals. Only regular season stats count. In the event of a one game playoff to determine division winners and/or wildcard winners, stats from those games will count toward a team’s total statistics, as these are considered regular season games; however playoff games and World Series games do not count towards teams’ stats, as these games are part of the Post Season.
***All stats will be tracked by a third party. www.fantasybaseballbiggame.com will not be responsible for systems issues, such as computer outages, internet connectivity problems or any other issue which may result in an owner not being able to select during their draft when their draft slot comes up. Teams’ stats will be updated in real time. League standings will be updated daily. For the Big Game contest, overall standings will be provided every Sunday. In addition, www.fantasybaseballbiggame.com will not supply equipment for owners to perform their drafts. All owners are responsible for ensuring they have their own equipment, which can interact with the draft supplier's software.
Prizes - Challengers may enter at any one of four entry fee levels. The more weekly wins a challenger has, the more prize money they will win. There are 26 weeks, so a challenger has the opportunity to win 26 times during the season. Here are the prize amounts a challenger will win, based on entry fee level and number of wins. Please note, ties are NOT wins for the challenger. A challenger must win a minimum of 14 weeks to be the overall challenge winner.

Weekly Line Ups
Each week, teams will submit their weekly line up for the upcoming week. Teams will have up until 5 minutes prior to the start of the first game for the new week to submit their line ups. The first day of the week will be Monday and the last day will be Sunday. Teams must submit a valid roster. If you roster is invalid, your last valid roster will be substituted in its place. Players on the DL can be inserted into your starting line up. Starting line ups become locked 5 minutes prior to the start of the first game for the week. If you have a player starting who is not playing, for any reason, whether it be injury, demotion, suspension, etc, that player cannot be changed for that week. You must wait until the next week's game to determine if you would like to replace the player. All team owners are responsible for updating their own line ups. Emails asking www.fantasybaseballbiggame.com to update your roster will not be honored, unless the league home page is down and changes cannot be made.
Free Agents– There will be NO FREE AGENT PICK UPS IN THE ROTO H2H CHALLENGE LEAGUES!
Trading - In order to prevent any questionable team to team collusion, there will be no trading in any of the Big Game H2H Leagues.
