Top 25 Third Basemen
Michael Lins 4/4/09
David Wright will help his owners in all five categories, while Evan Longoria will provide four category help. Aramis Ramirez is a run producer and should be batting with enough CUbs on base in front of him to break 100 RBI's again this year. Even with the injury, ARod, if back by mid May, should produce enough to be the #4 3B. Owners who draft him in the first couple of rounds; however, will be disappointed.
If you are looking for value, Garrett Atkins has been dropping out of the top 100 in several drafts, but he'll definitely reward owners who select him. In addition, his dual position eligibility will also be an asset to his owners. He has the ability to hit over .300 and with Holliday gone, Atkins will be counted on a little more to produce runs. The position also gets thin after the first handful of players are off the board. You definitely don't want to be without a 3B after Kouzmanoff is off the board.
